Wildlife of North East Scotland

Being brought up in Ellon in the North East of Scotland I always loved the local wildlife, and when my family moved to Aberdeen in 1970 this interest continued – there was so much to see in the local parks and surrounding countryside. As a fourteen-year-old I got my first camera and would develop my own black and white prints, which then really sparked my interest in nature photography. Even after all these years I still love what we have to see in the North East of Scotland, and my recent photographs of red squirrels, puffins, owls, kingfishers, goldcrests, and more have been brought together for the collection you now hold in your hands. – Carlo Forno
