About
Lumphanan Press was founded in 2009 by Duncan Lockerbie, not long after graduating from an MLitt in Publishing Studies at the University of Stirling. The press was originally formed with the simple idea of helping authors to improve the quality of their self-publishing projects, be it through design or basic editorial work.
Since then Lumphanan Press has expanded to offer a comprehensive range of self-publishing services to authors. While still particularly strong on design and editorial (across both fiction and non-fiction), Lumphanan Press now also works on financial planning, sales and marketing, ebook creation and much more. The idea now is to guide authors through the entire publishing process from manuscript to bookshelf, ensuring a professional final product for a competitive price.
For examples of previous work please see our bookshop, or get in touch to ask for further details. You can also find Lumphanan Press on Twitter (of course!).

Duncan Lockerbie, Lumphanan Press founder and current director. Duncan has an academic background in Philosophy (University of Glasgow) and Publishing Studies (University of Stirling), 10 years professional experience in book design & editorial, and a potentially unhealthy obsession with typography.
