Writer and artist Iris Perrin lives in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.
After retiring from full time work, she ventured into the world of self-publishing with her first book Wee Stories by Iris. The collection of stories with her own hand-drawn illustrations launched in November 2022 and proved popular with readers in the UK and overseas.
She also produced an audio version, recorded in her own voice.
Wee Love Stories by Iris is written in the same format, this time including poetry as well as her own hand-drawn illustrations. Readers have suggested to Iris that she should maybe try writing a collection of “Wee Horror Stories”…

‘As an art tutor I am always telling my students to observe and my favourite saying is “If you are a good observer you will be a good artist.” It is the same for writing and this book is choc bang full of fabulous perceptions.’ – ALI HARGREAVES (Alisart)
‘Crisp, economical sentences, precise language and imagery. A real skill in the development of atmosphere, that builds like an electrical charge and then must seek a moment or place to explode and dissipate.’ – JOHN A A LOGAN, author of The Survival of Thomas Ford
‘Love comes in many different flavours and these wee stories, poems and drawings come together to form an excellent menu. Artfully observed and conveyed, a delight from beginning to end.’ – S J (Sarah) GROENEWEGEN BEM, author of The Disinformation War
