Description

Description

At school and university, Ian Barclay develops a passion for literature. He teaches in London and Glasgow but his career and life are frustrated and thwarted by others. He turns to alcohol – spiralling into depression, conveyed by imagined cross-examinations of figures from literature. Has he been treated unfairly, betrayed and abandoned by family and friends? What purpose has his devotion to literature served?
